It was a weekend away in the Cotswolds for many Tenby Aces as they took on the half Ironman event in glorious weather.

Taking part in the Cotswolds 113 Half Ironman at the Ashton Keynes Water Park on Sunday were - Beverly Barrett, Helen Munro, Ceire Merrison, Emma Richards, Donna Reed, Gareth Rees, Billy Connor, Colin Barrett, John Parker, Hayden Johns, Jamie Silvester, Ryan Semper, Ian Warne and Dave Hill.

“Congratulations to all the Aces who took part in the Cotswolds 113 half distance - amazing performances all round, with beautiful weather although a little warm towards the end,” said Aces chairman Gareth Rees.

“Hopefully the numbness has now gone from your arms, hands and fingers from those rough, rough roads! I’m not sure they are classed as potholes when they span the width of the road and go on for mile after mile - we can’t moan about ours anymore!”

Congratulations also went to locals Oliver Simon (1st overall) and Callum Davies (3rd overall).

“Lastly, thank you to all the family and friends who travelled to the Cotswolds,” continued Gareth.

“Your support makes all the difference and is soooooo appreciated, you were Ace!”

Elsewhere for Aces members taking part in events, Claire Thomas and Stephanie Waring took on the Barry Sprint Triathlon around Barry Island; whilst Kate Mathias took on the challenge of the Bristol Standard Triathlon around Bristol Harbour and Portway.
