While most teams in Division One have the odd game or two to go before their season comes to an end, Narberth have to play catch up due to their successful cup campaigns and this means squeezing games in between now and the end of the month.
It's a difficult enough task in its own right yet having to pick yourself up having just lost 5-2 to Tenby during the midweek makes it harder still. They managed to do it though as they bounced back from the defeat to beat Herbrandston by the same score as home advantage told.
Dorian Davies struck twice for the home team, while Morgan Preece, Ashley Williams and Justin Blewitt all added to the emphatic win.
Tenby will definitely finish third after they beat Goodwick United 4-3 at Phoenix Park. Should they win their final game of the season, they will finish equal on points with second placed Merlins Bridge yet will end up below them on goal difference.
Despite scoring four on Saturday thanks to a brace apiece by Richard Perry and Jack Christopher, the difference in goals is too great for the Seasiders to make up.
They may have been relegated last weekend, but that didn't prevent Monkton from finishing their season off in style with a 4-1 whooping of rivals Pennar Robins.
Adam Cole scored for the hosts, but two from Liam Butland and one each by Jason Kilby and Ryan Griffiths ensured the points went back with the Swifts.
Division Two champions Carew proved why they are the best team in the division after hammering Haverfordwest Cricket Club 6-1. Sam Goodwin scored twice, Shaun Whitfield once, but a hattrick by Alex Bailey was the highlight in another brilliant performance by the champions.
In a dress rehearsal for the Second Division Cup final, Hundleton lost out against Prendergast Villa going down 5-2. Rhodri Davies and William Abrahams scored the goals for the away team.
Narberth's second team went down 4-1 against Lamphey, with Ben Johns coring for the home side, while Antony Webb, Alex Lewis and William Davies with a brace all scored for the visitors. The win ensured Lamphey are promoted as goal difference puts them ahead of Broad Haven even though they're on equal points.
They could still pip Lawrenny for the championship, however, the Gavenyards are on form having beaten Camrose 3-2 thanks to goals by Owen James, Phil Cole and Ben James.
A win by Kilgetty saw them climb out of the relegation zone after a 2-1 result at Clarbeston Road. The Kingsmoor team won 3-1 thanks to goals by Corey Lowndes and two from Dean Morgan.
Pendine travelled to Neyland Seconds and lost 5-1, while a hattrick by Dafydd Wright followed by goals from Jacob Layfield and Karl Jones helped Narberth Thirds guarantee promotion after beating second placed Angle Seconds 5-0.
No such luck for Kilgetty seconds however as they lost 3-0, although Carew Thirds managed a win at Hundleton Seconds, winning 3-2. Huw Davies and Jonathan Hay scored for the home side.
Goals from Adam Jenkins, Sam Davies, Sam Mills and Joe Kidney helped Lawrenny Seconds win 4-3 at home to Camrose Seconds, while St. Florence kept their scoring spree going after winning 5-3 at Solva Seconds thanks to goals by George Wilkins and two each from Colin Batley and Richard Tebbutt.
