A total of 190 goals were scored in Pembrokeshire senior football over the weekend as conditions were ripe for running football; with pitches firm under foot and the air still with little or no wind.
Hakin slammed in six against Herbrandston, so too did Merlins Bridge against Monkton while Neyland may have conceded three against Saundersfoot (Sam Coleman, Matthew Webb and George Taylor) yet they still managed to score seven against their beleaguered visitors. The lowest scoring game in division one was at St Clears however as the home side and second placed Pennar conspired to drum up a more traditional score of 2-1. Sadly for the hosts, the points didn't stay with them despite Owain Evans' goal, as they went down for the fourth consecutive week and slipped a place in the league as a result.
"We may have lost but the boys played well to be honest and we deserved to go 1-0 up but a few decisions went against us and Pennar came back well," said Saints' manager Craig Weston.
"We've had a good run and now a few losses but hopefully we can bounce back this week."
Pennar's goals were scored by Sam Southcott.

Player manager Matthew Price was on fire finishing the game with a brace while the other goals were scored by Dylan Davies, Jordan Williams and Morgan Preece.
It wasn't all plain sailing for the Bluebirds however despite being 3-0 up early in the second half as the hosts scored twice within two minutes to set the nerves jangling for the visitors. The home team's desire to draw level created space at the back for Narberth to exploit and Price nipped in with two late goals to seal the points.
"It appears a comfortable result but it was anything but," said Price. "We were in control but as soon as they scored it was game on but they left themselves exposed at the back and we were able to capitalise on that. It was a good win though against a good side."
Tenby will be hoping the Giltar Hotel sponsors them again after they won comfortably at home to Angle.

Scoring goals hasn't been a problem for high flying Lamphey this season yet on a weekend in which goal keepers had back ache from the amount of times they were fishing balls from the back of the net they could only manage the one in their victory over Clarbeston Road. William Davis grabbed the all-important winner for the visitors.
Cosheston Cougars were goal less in their 3-0 loss at Hakin United seconds while Lawrenny and Carew seconds served up a thriller in a game that finished 3-3.

It was a good weekend for Saundersfoot Seconds however as they won 5-2 at home to Neyland seconds.
It's a rare week when Simon Bancroft doesn't score for St Clears seconds and on a weekend where scoring goals was the rule it was no surprise to see him score twice for the Saints in their 2-0 win away at St Ishmaels.
Meanwhile in the fifth division cup, Narberth thirds went through after a 3-1 win at Carew thirds.
Dafydd Wright scored once and Jason Jones twice in the win with Carew's goal coming via an own goal while Kilgetty seconds lost 9-1 at home to St Florence with Christopher Morgan providing third only bright spot in an otherwise sorry afternoon.
