Members of Sauterelle Trampoline Club were in the medals at the recent Welsh Schools Championships, held at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff.
This competition is open to school children from schools all across Wales and the club tried out four promising youngsters in their first ever trampoline event, with all four finishing in the top 10 of their groups.
In addition, in the beginners section, in the under 11 age group, Oliver Thomas, of Ysgol Teilo Sant gained a trophy for second place.
In the novice event, Elis Williams (under 13), of Ysgol Gyfun Maesyryrfa, finished in third place and qualified to represent his school at the British semi-finals (zonal schools championships) to be held in January 2013.
Jodie Wakelin (Under 19), of Queen Elizabeth High School, finished eighth position, with some very close scores here and Natalie Bowen (Under 13s), also of Queen Elizabeth, cane a very close fourth in her group just missing out on a trophy and remains first reserve for the British zonals.
Sauterelle Trampoline Club which is a newly-formed affiliated club in the area runs sessions at Carmarthen Leisure Centre on Fridays and Tenby Leisure Centre on Saturdays.
Senior club coach Charlotte Digby-North was extremely pleased with achievements of these four children in their first competition, and wished Elis every success at the next stage in January where if he performs well, he would progress to the British National School Finals.
