Tenby junior rugby round-up

Tenby Under 11s welcomed Neyland to the Clicketts on Sunday. The game started off with a bang with both teams evenly matched. Tenby scored the first try with some lovely running rugby.

Neyland soon came back at Tenby and got themselves over the try line, but the Seasiders managed to pull ahead with a second try.

Tenby showed a much better skill level than the away team but made some silly mistakes and lost some turnovers that allowed Neyland to take the lead, with the final score 14 - 49 in favour of the visitors.

Jevan Guymer who worked tirelessly at the breakdown and worked hard all game, was awarded player of the match for an outstanding performance.

Tries went to Bobby and Leo. Tenby team: Dylan, Iestyn, Ethan. Jevan, Leo, Flynn, James, Craig, Oliver, Bobby, Max, Luc, Cody, Tyler, Rupert.

Tenby U12s produced an all round team performance to beat Neyland 33-5.

The first half saw both teams hold their defence but with Tenby forwards and backs combining, it gave Filip the opportunity to score the first try of the game.

In the second half Tenby really came into their own, frustrating Neyland, as they were able to continue putting points on the scoresheet with Dexter scoring three superb tries, followed by a try from Harry. Conversions came from Ollie and Travis.

Tenby team: Dewi, Edward, Nancy-Mae, Harry, Iori, Ollie, Blake, Archie, Will, Filip, Harvey, Carwyn, Travis, Iuan, Ethan, Dexter and Lewis.

Tenby Under 15s on Sunday travelled away to a fixture in Haverfordwest. With Tenby taking their opportunities early on they were quick to build a 5-37 lead at half time.

The Seasiders continued what they started in the second half. Quick hands, confident running and expansive rugby on show saw Tenby run in a further four tries and finish the game winners 10-56.

Tries were scored by Alfie Luger, Connor, Lewis, Alfie Pryor, Kiaran and Jayden.
