Tenby Under 11s hosted Narberth last week under the floodlights at Heywood Lane, with the Pembrokeshire plate semi-final kicking off under persistent rain with both teams raising to the challenging conditions.
The first try on the night (March 29) came from the Seasiders’ power house Iestyn Cole to be converted by Bobby Field-Thomas. Tenby kept up the pace with tries from Luc Graham and Leo Werner giving a 21-0 lead at half time.
The second half started with a quick try from the Otters only to answered by a beautiful cross kick from the boot of Tenby's no 10 Dylan Drewett for Leo Werner to take over the line. Final Score 31-7.
The following Sunday the side travel east to Llangennech RFC to play a round robin against the host side and Gowerton.
The first game of the day was Gowerton which saw a strong Tenby side coming out of the blocks with an opening try from Luc Graham.
Gowerton managed to answer back with one try in the first half but the Seasiders fluid passing skills and dominant forwards saw Rhys Broadhurst take the ball over the line twice in the last half giving a final score of Tenby 15 Gowerton 5.
The second game of the day saw the Llangennech side kick off the first half with a flurry of tries which the seasiders struggled to stop however with a little bit of soul searching and some half time words of encouragement from Coach Jason Cole the Tenby side came back strong with tries from Iestyn, Bobby and Ben giving a final score of Llangennech 25 Tenby 20.
