It has been a very busy two weeks at the club for all sections.

The First XV travelled to Hendy last Saturday to see out their final League fixture for the season with a full squad, but they were well beaten by a very well drilled Hendy side.

The squad will now be training hard for their final game, against Tenby in the first ever Pembs KO Plate Final at the Quins ground on May 17, KO 7 pm.

Meanwhile the Pembs KO Cup final between Narberth and Crymych is due to be played on May 19, KO 7 pm in Whitland.

The Panthers entertained Morriston in beautiful weather last Sunday and won a very entertaining and well fought match by 39-19.

Both sides demonstrated their full array of skills, strong defence and well constructed attacking play, in front of an appreciative crowd.

Last Saturday afternoon the club hosted both of the District Youth Cup and Plate Finals.

Both games proved very exciting affairs, but Crymych dominated and won the Plate by a large margin, whilst Aberystwyth equally dominated their match with Tenby United and ran out worthy winners by a large margin.

The GMG thanked the club’s many volunteers for providing excellent facilities and tremendous hospitality for the all of the teams and their management groups.

The Youth team played Aberystwyth at home a week last Wednesday, in a very well contested match, where both sides created lots of chances.

Eventually, Aber’s greater fluency and accuracy saw them take the win deservedly by 12-23.

Very sadly, due to lack of interest from County clubs, the proposed 7s tournament at the club for May 7 had to be cancelled; the club will try again next year.

Pembroke’s U17s squad travelled to Tenby last Friday to play H’West in the Mike Fry Final.

Pembroke started very well scoring from the kick off and consolidating a good half time lead.

H’West struck back with two good tries, but Pembroke struck back with some delightful play that gave them a well earned and deserved victory by 35-20 in front of a very large vociferous crowd.

The Junior section was well represented in the County Junior Finals Days this year with the U10s, U11s, U14s and U16s all featuring.

Former player Richard Jones (who had an horrific road accident two years ago) is planning to hold a Charity game at the club on August 5, to raise funds for the Wales Air Ambulance and Morriston Hospital. More details will emerge in the weeks ahead.

Congratulations to the 150+Draw winners - A. Morgan (£100), I. Martin (£75), J. Price (£50).
