Saundersfoot Sports CLub, sponsored by LG Leisure, played away to the Martello Club in Pembroke Dock on Monday evening and were 4-1 losers.

First frame saw Darren Morgan play Gwyn Griffiths. Darren started well, opening up with a 22 break. He continued to play well, but mid-frame his opponent came back at him to close the gap to four points. Darren then compiled another 19 break to lead by 25 points coming to the colours. Gwyn reponded by potting yellow, green, brown and blue to close the gap to nine points. Darren then took the pink to win. A good frame.

Second frame saw Dean Ludlow play Sean Davies. Dean started cautiously, but soon got going. His opponent then started to outpot Dean, compiling a 22-point break. Mid-frame Dean was 20 points adrift, but by the colours, he had turned it around and was now six points ahead. He then took yellow and green, plus a foul, to lead by 18 points on the brown, only for his opponent to hit back with the blue, pink and black to win by two points. Unlucky.

Third frame saw captain Glyn Davies play John Lloyd. Glyn was completely outplayed by probably the best player in the league.

Fourth frame saw Martin Durham play Brett John. Martin started slowly against another good player and like Glyn was outclassed.

Fifth frame was a walkover, with Saundersfoot only having four players.
