Division One

In the match of the day at Carew, none of the visiting batsmen could score 20, with the result that the Cresselly team were dismissed for a total of 131 as Tom Davies took 4-23 and Rhys Davies 4-25.

Ian Sefton with 21 and Nick Scourfield with 38 added 50 for the first wicket, before Sefton was bowled by spinner Ryan Lewis, but Scourfield then added 67 for the second wicket with all-rounder Tim Hicks, who hit two sixes and two fours in his innings of 54, as the pair set up the winning total of 132-3 for Carew.

Dark horses Saundersfoot had an exciting one wicket win at home to championship rivals Neyland to take over at the top of the Division One table.

Neyland reached 160-8, with Nick Koomen scoring 34, Paul Murray 20 and Gregg Miller 26.

Danny Caine took 3-32 and Dai Davies 3-49.

Davies and Nick Cope added 60 for the third wicket for Saundersfoot, with Davies scoring 51 and Cope 36, including five sixes and one four, as he peppered the boundary.

James Caine provided support with 23.

Neyland skipper Andrew Miller took 4-71 for the visitors.

After a stuttering start, Haverfordwest reached a total of 114 all out away to Llangwm. Skipper Huw Scriven, batting at number seven, top scored with 33, backed up by Mickey Jones with 29.

Chris Inward made the early breakthrough with 3-20 and spinner Alastair Platten took 4-34.

In another exciting finish, Llangwm reached a total of 118-8. Opener Adrian Harries scored 26 and batting at number eight Luke Brock guided Llangwm home to a two wickets win with his undefeated innings of 22.

Paceman Adam James took 3-26 and left arm spinner Simon Holliday 4-37.

St. Ishmaels reached 156-9 away to Lawrenny. Andrew Williams with 57 and Peter Bradshaw with 34 put on 70 for the first wicket and Danny Howells built on their good work with an innings of 37.

All-rounder Simon Cole took 4-45 and Willie Morris 3-19.

Lawrenny were bowled out for 135 with four balls of the innings remaining.

James Buckle provided most of the runs in his well constructed innings of 54.

Andrew Pawlett took 4-16 for the visitors with his slow left arm deliveries and Andrew Williams took 3-36.

In a low scoring local derby at Whitland, the hosts were bowled out for 89 as the Narberth bowlers exploited the conditions cleverly.

David Dearden top scored on 17 as Ben Hughes took 3-20 and Wayne Howells 3-16.

Narberth looked in control needing 10 runs to win with three wickets left. Then in a dramatic climax, Ben Hughes, Matthew Johns and Sam Mills fell to successive deliveries bowled by David Dunfee, with a hat-trick to clinch the result for the Whitland team.

Dunfee finished with the match-winning figures of 6-18.

Earlier Richard Adams of Narberth had the highest score of the match with 22.

Division Two

Pembroke scored 134-8 at home to Hook after Phil Hay scored 42no, Rob Mathias 37 and Rob Weston 27. Jake Wicks took 3-32 for the visitors, who were bowled out for 99 in reply. Keith James led the resistance with 27, supported by Jake Wicks with 21.

Pembroke skipper Sean Powell took 3-16.

Carew Seconds were bowled out for 86 away to Haverfordwest Seconds, despite the efforts of James Hinchliffe with 35 and David Rees with 24.

Nigel Delaney took 4-21, Mickey Phillips 3-20 and Josh Hicks 3-4 for the Harfat team.

The hosts recovered from a poor start to win by three wickets with a total of 86-7. Nigel Delaney and Richard Scriven both scored 24 and Andrew Phillips steered the Haverfordwest team home with his undefeated 21.

James Hinchliffe took 3-23 and Dominic Hicks 3-12.

Neil Williams had an excellent innings of 118 as Cresselly Seconds set Burton a challenging total of 227-5 to chase.

Williams was supported by James Phillips with 32no.

Sam Harts and left arm seamer Matthew Lewis ripped through the Burton line-up and the visitors were dismissed for 76, with Mark Griffiths 22no.

Harts took 5-26 and Lewis 3-21.

Whitland Seconds held out for a draw at 92-8 in response to a Herbrandston total of 170-9.

Nathan Banner and Kristan Bennett both scored 42 for the hosts, supported by Jonty Bennett with 20.

Wrist spinner Meyrick Rowlands was the pick of the Whitland bowlers with figures of 3-35.

Paul Webb and Jacob Lloyd both had defiant knocks of 18 as the visitors replied determined not to lose. Kristan Bennett followed up his batting with a return of 3-21.

Division Three

Llangwm Seconds scored 196-6 away to Pembroke Dock. Lyn Rees batted well for his 94no, with three sixes and nine fours, backed up by Sean Waller with 41 and Chris Thomas with 28.

The Dock won by eight wickets with an impressive total of 197-2. Jake Davies and Scott Griffiths put on 71 for the first wicket and on the departure of Griffiths, Peter Kingdom with 47no played the supporting role.

Davies went on to reach 108no with 15 fours and one six. With Kingdom in support, the pair added 118 for the third wicket in an unbroken match-winning partnership.

No play was possible in the match between Fishguard and Lamphey.

An outstanding innings of 84 by Iwan Bowen-Rees took Narberth Seconds to a total of 174-5 at home to Crymych.

Bowen-Rees capitalised on some sound batting earlier by Mike Johns with 22, before falling to a brilliant acrobatic catch by Rhinallt George under the famous ash tree inside the boundary of the Narberth ground. Malory Stanford finished with 3-41.

Crymych skipper Sam Kurtz led the run chase for the visitors with an attacking innings of exactly 100, which included three sixes and 12 fours, before he was bowled by Andrew Williams, who ended with 4-15.

Once Kurtz departed, the Crymych challenge faded and the visitors put up the shutters to finish on 150-8.

Division Four

Carew Thirds won by 12 runs at home to Camrose and Spittal who were bowled out for 124 in reply to a Carew total of 136-9.

The experienced Gerald Hicks with 22 supported Greg Morris with 26no and Jack Pattinson with 23.

For the visitors, Tom Jones took 3-10 and Tom Davies 3-22.

John Evans top scored for the Camrose and Spittal team with 19, as the Carew bowlers shared out the wickets, with Jason Knox taking 3-6.

Cresselly Thirds had a nerve-tingling two wickets win away to Llanrhian Seconds in scoring 82-8 chasing a Llanrhian total of 81 all out

No play was possible at Hook where Hook Seconds were home to Saundersfoot Seconds.

In a young looking Kilgetty team, it was the experienced Peter Hall who was the mainstay of the Kilgetty innings with his knock of 38 away to Burton Seconds.

All-rounder Steve Jones took 3-14 for the hosts, who were bowled out in reply for a total of 74, as youngster Tom Murphy took 3-25 and skipper Anthony Bevan 3-31. Daniel Ridge tried to hold things together in his innings of 21.

St. Clears, in their first game of the season, had a comfortable six wickets win away to Hundleton, who were bowled out for 66, as James Ingleton took 4-5 and Nathan Evans 3-30.

Scott Richards top scored for Hundleton with 34, supported by Chris Stapleton with 25.

Martin Thomas with 24 and skipper Andrew Edwards with 21 provided the bulk of the runs for the Saints, who reached a winning total of 70-4.

Division Five

In a very low scoring match at the Llanddewi Velfrey ground, the visitors Lawrenny Seconds were bowled out for 40 by Narberth Thirds.

Sean Thomas with 4-11 and Ian Phillips with 3-18 were the leading wicket-takers,

The visitors were also on fine form with the ball, with the experienced Owen Williams taking 3-6 and Jonathan Mathias 3-5 as Narberth Thirds were dismissed for the even lower total of 23, to give the visitors a win by the surprising margin of 17 runs.

Excellent batting by Barry Phillips and Ben McDonnell in a fourth wicket partnership of 120 played a big part in St. Florence reaching a total of 174-5, at home to Pembroke Seconds.

The experienced Phillips continued his good form of the season with 83no and McDonnell scored 51.

Phillips hit five sixes and six fours and McDonnell hit eight fours, as Kevin Jenkins took 3-21 for the visitors.

The Pembroke team reached 151-7 in reply. Nigel Phillips led the way with 57, backed up by Ashley Davies with 25.

Mike Cackett and Mike May each took two wickets for the Saints.

Camrose and Spittal Seconds were bowled out for 154 at home to Pembroke Dock Seconds.

Jeff Harries was the leading scorer with 63, supported by Robert Jones with 22no as Andrew Boyett took 3-39 for the visitors.

Although Jason Beynon scored 48 and James Olyott 33, a wicket-taking spell of 5-13 by Gelly James, supported by two wickets from Brian Hawkins, resulted in the Dock team being dismissed for 137.

Division Six

Whitland Thirds were away to Lamphey Seconds and were bowled out for 57.

Most of the runs came from the 23 extras, but Josh Jones did have 18 off the bat. Dean Lawrence took 4-5 in eight overs for the Lamphey team and Haydn Cole took 3-9 to bag a hat-trick at the same time.

The Lamphey team also lost wickets in the run chase as Connor Bowen took 4-39, but led by Luca Tremarco with 25 Lamphey Seconds won by three wickets.

No play was possible in the match between Crymych Seconds and Llanrhian Thirds as the Llanrhian side were unable to raise a team.

Hundleton Seconds did not have a fixture on Saturday.
