Four goals in the last 10 minutes ensured that Narberth remain top of the table, following a hard fought victory over Neyland at Jesse Road last Saturday.
After a heavy cup defeat at the hands of St. Clears the previous week, Narberth player/manager Matthew Price moved quickly to strengthen the squad in midweek, with the signings of defender Scott Delaney from the West Dragons and striker Rob Shipton from Merlins Bridge.
Neyland took the lead inside 10 minutes, as Sean Hannon's floated free-kick eluded everybody and found its way into the bottom corner, although Patrick Bellerby may have got the slightest of touches.
Narberth were lucky not to go two goals behind as a Neyland player headed wide with the goal at his mercy!
Narberth started to get their act together and were soon level when Matthew Price found Morgan Preece, who crossed for Aled Thomas to strike the ball first time into the bottom corner.
Jordan Williams and Matthew Price missed good chances to give Narberth the lead.
The only other talking point before the break, was when a Neyland defender appeared to reach up and tip a Matthew Price effort onto the crossbar and the referee awarded Narberth a corner instead of a penalty and a red card!
Narberth started the second half the better side and forced several corners and goal scoring opportunities, but the Neyland defence stood firm.
With 15 minutes remaining, Neyland scored as Niall Day was the first to react when the ball rebounded off the crossbar.
However, with 10 minutes remaining, Matthew Price smashed in the equaliser from close range and minutes later, Marc Hughes, making a welcome return to the first team, forced the ball over the line in a goalmouth scramble.
At this point, Neyland had no choice but to throw bodies forward and were hit twice on the break in the last two minutes. Firstly, Jordan Williams was brought down in the penalty area after a good run. Matthew Price scored from the resulting spot kick. There was still enough time for Price to complete his hat-trick, as he ran onto a Jordan Williams ball over the top, before cutting inside and hammering it into the bottom corner.
Narberth player/manager Matthew Price said: "I am delighted with the character that we showed to win the game in the final quarter and I am also pleased with our performance after last week."
Narberth: John Durbridge, Scott Delaney, Justin Blewitt, Simon Cole, Iestyn Scourfield (Dean Morris), Marc Hughes, Jordan Williams, Aled Thomas (Rob Shipton), Tony Evans (Adi Jones), Matthew Price, Morgan Preece.
