Carew hosted Solva FC on Tuesday evening in their penultimate home game this season. It was 0-0 at the interval, with Carew showing much improvement following their 6-3 loss the previous Saturday and the Rooks deservedly took the lead halfway through the second half with a well-taken goal by Scott Ferney following good work down the left by Haydn Shapcott. Carew looked all set for a well-deserved victory, but two very late goals by the determined visitors stole the points for Solva. The game seemed to sum up the season for Carew, with very good performances not always getting the results that the team deserved, but the young squad can be very proud of their development this year and can look forward with optimism to the next campaign.
