CONGRATULATIONS to Alfie Luger who enjoyed sporting success last weekend.

You may have seen Alfie, a Year 5 pupil at Stepaside CP School, in the Observer a few weeks ago following his success in winning the Welsh gymnastic championships.

Alfie was then selected to represent Wales in the British championships last weekend.

He was part of a six-man team which was placed second overall.

Alfie’s success on the day did not stop there; he was placed second in Britain as an individual, too, which means that he’ll now qualify for the British squad.

Pupils and staff at Stepaside CP School are extremely proud of his commitment to his sport and also to his schoolwork.
