Sunday, July 23, saw the 35th anniversary of the mixed golf match between Tenby and Ashburnham. This year was Tenby’s turn to be host and the format chosen was Greensome. Ten pairs from each club were treated to sunny, breezy conditions on the links with a short shower. The conditions were good and favoured the host team resulting in a resounding win for Tenby by a margin of 6.5 to 3.5. After the meal and brief speeches by Tenby president, Allan Morton, and Ashburnham captain, John Jenkins, the trophy was presented to Tenby. Many thanks to all those that played. Arrangements are already underway for the rematch next year at Ashburnham.
