In a bid to preserve the natural beauty of their surroundings, Tenby Golf Club commenced their pledge on Monday (February 26) with a litter picking event, marking the start of their journey towards earning recognition as a ‘Litter Free Zone’ established by Keep Wales Tidy.

Volunteers, comprising both club members and staff, enthusiastically participated in the clean-up effort, demonstrating their dedication to the cause.

Throughout the morning, participants scoured various areas surrounding the club, from car parks to hedgerows, culminating in the removal of eight bags of rubbish.

Even the upcoming Black Rock tee, received a thorough clean-up in preparation for upcoming competitions.

Following the successful clean-up efforts, participants gathered in the cosy 19th Hole bar to enjoy some well-deserved refreshments, fostering a sense of camaraderie and accomplishment among all involved.

The Club has pledged to continue its environmental initiatives by organising monthly litter picks, extending an open invitation to both members and non-members to join in on future litter picking events.
