The sun shone brightly at the Lady Captain Jayne Lewis’s Day, at South Pembs Golf Club last week. Eighteen ladies played in the 18-hole individual Stableford during the day in almost perfect conditions and special thanks go to the greenkeepers and staff for the their care of the course which played beautifully. There were three categories and the winners were:

Category 1: 1. Lynne Rees, 2. Carole Blackwell and 3. Mary Mountney

Category 2: 1. Carol Leslie, 2. Sara Alderman and 3. Sharon Kaye

Category 3: 1. Janet Norrie, 2. Juliette Wotton and 3. Hilary Harries.

There were two Nearest the Pin competitions, which were won by Sharon Kaye on the ninth hole and Ria Phillips on the 14th.

Following the golf, there was a well-attended presentation dinner which concluded with the Lady Captain receiving a gift and flowers from the ladies in appreciation of the day, the fabulous prizes and her organisation, from her vice-captain, Sara Alderman.
