Three Counties Summer League: We are delighted to confirm that following our wins over Aberystwyth and Haverfordwest, Tenby Rabbits have won the Three Counties Summer League for the first time since 1977.
All 21 players who participated throughout the campaign contributed to the success, which was crowned off with a great evening’s celebration in the clubhouse.
Congratulations must go to our inspirational captain, Steve Watkins, who has had a memorable year in charge, including a great trip to Ireland.
Mick Gillet Memorial Trophy: After a neck and neck battle throughout the summer season with Robin Bradbury, our congratulations go to Phil Carpenter, who retained the trophy for the best Summer League golfer.
Finals Day: Well done to John Ball for ensuring that a Rabbit once again won the Charles Mathias Trophy.
B & H Shield: All of the Summer League players were eligible to play in our final stableford qualifier of the year on a breezy, but dry Sunday morning in early October. Seventeen players took to the course and produced some excellent scoring.
In third place, on countback, with 36 pts, was Paul Davies. Second place went to the defending champion, Phil Carpenter, with an excellent score of 41 pts, but with a superb score of 42 pts, our congratulations go to the winner, John Stevenson.
Both Phil and John also enjoyed a one-shot cut in their respective handicaps.
