Again a great effort by Tenby AFC Under 7 (B), seen right, who played home to Pennar Robins. Unfortunately, the result didn’t go our way, but all kids should be congratulated for their effort.
It was a very even contest right the way through the game until the last quarter when Pennar Robins deservedly took the lead and went on to score. It’s an absolute pleasure to see the kids improving each week. Thank you to all the parents for there support and to Pennar Robins for a very hard-fought contest and look forward to the return fixture.

Under 9s
Last Saturday, Tenby Under 9s (seen right) entertained Camrose on the astroturf at Greenhill School.
The opening period was tight with both sides negating each other in the middle of the park. Ethan Lewis gave the home side the lead before the visitors equalised before the first quarter ended.
The surface was ideal for football, with a lovely slick surface playing into the Seasiders advantage. Tenby managed to play the ball on the ground, gaining greater control and highlighting excellent pass and move skills.
From the second period onwards, Tenby put pressure on the visitors backline, with George, Ethan, Dylan, Lucas and Evan all closing down the visitors space, forcing Camrose into errors with Tenby scoring at regular intervals throughout the remainder of the game.
Bailey had a very good assured performance at the heart of defence, continuing on from last season, with Louis, Thomas, Sam and Jesse providing a very solid mean defensive platform.
Dylan scored a great individual goal that never was, as all his team mates were being substituted behind him. He hadn’t realised he was taking on the whole Camrose team on his own after the whistle had blown - sorry Dylan!
Evan had an exceptional game in a central position, with lovely dribbling ability. Evan simply glides over the ground ever so gracefully, it’s like he’s walking on water - such a joy to watch. Evan put in some menacing crosses for all to get their toes on, a deserving man of the match award.
Final score was 9-2 with scorers being: Ethan (3), George (2), Evan (2), Dylan and an OG.
Team: Jesse Craig, Bailey Joyce, Louis Rapi, Thomas Strong, Sam Hughes, Lucas Rhys-Davies, Dylan Sine, Ethan Lewis, Evan Coleman, George Morgan.
Match ball sponsor: N. D. Toy and Partners.
Under 12s
Monday evening saw the U12s (seen below) play host to Merlins Bridge at the Clicketts. With two strong wins behind them, the boys were to continue their winning streak.
Merlins Bridge won the toss, but it wasn’t long before Tenby gained possession and made their presence known in the attacking half. Within minutes, the first goal came from Iori, followed soon by a sound header from Toby. Accurate and quick passing saw the visiting defence torn apart and further goals from Max, Jack (2), Dylan (2), Cas (2), Lewis (3), Archie and Iori followed.
Merlins Bridge did grab a quick one back when the Tenby defence was outnumbered, leaving the score at half-time 14-1 to Seasiders.
With a change of ’keeper for Tenby, with Leon taking over from Kyle, the second half saw much of the same, strong attack and solid defence, not allowing Merlins Bridge any room to attack.
Goals in the second half came from Max (2), Iori (3), Toby, Jack (2), Dylan K, Lewis, Dylan D and Morgan (2), to make the final score 27-1 to Tenby.
Another solid performance boys - well done. Cosheston home tomorrow (Saturday).
Tenby U16s 9
Kilgetty U16s 0
United Aerospace and ProWaste sponsored Tenby U16s began their final season of junior football with a local derby, at home to Kilgetty.
The visitors always provide tough opposition, but it was the Seasiders that showed their superiority, coming away with a resounding 9-0 victory.
Tenby goals were scored by man of the match Carl Thomas who grabbed five goals, with James Gardner, Dylan Jones, Leo Sarrionandia and Dylan Evans all getting a goal each.
Monkton U16s 3 Tenby U16s 5
Last Saturday saw the 16s travel to Monkton for what was to be a tasty affair, with end to end football played by both teams.
After finding themselves behind on three occasions, Tenby eventually got the win by five goals to three.
Goals coming from Tate Lawrence, Rhys Morgan, Harri Phillips, and for the second successive game, Dylan Jones and Dylan Evans getting on the scoresheet.
Tenby however, had their skipper for this season Dylan Noot to thank for the victory, with him putting in a man of the match performance in the Tenby goal, pulling off a string of fine saves.
The Seasiders welcome Prendergast Villa to The Clicketts tomorrow, with an 11 am kick-off, support is always welcomed.
