On Sunday, December 21, a dozen Rabbits turned up at the clubhouse eagerly awaiting the draw for the annual high/low pairs competition.

There were various 'sporting' comments issued as the draw brought together the following pairs:

Bill Davies and Mackie Harts (highly fancied); Mark Edwards and Chris Smith (defending champions); Steve Watkins and Phil Carpenter (dark horses); Richard Prout and Bob Flower (steady and steadier); Bill Beynon and Robin Bradbury (el banditos);Steve Cole and Peter Turton (the odd couple).

The competition had been postponed from the previous week due to the inclement weather. The forecast was better this time, but a very stiff wind made scoring conditions difficult, but our intrepid heroes made light of the conditions.

In third place, scoring 42 points, were Steve Cole and Peter Turton. This pairing were pipped on the back one countback by Bill Davies and Mackie Harts, but winners with 44 points were Bill Beynon and Robin Bradbury, who can be seen receiving the trophy from Rabbits captain, Steve Watkins.
