Pembrokeshire referee Adrian Wilson has been appointed to referee the West Wales Football Association Cup final at the Liberty Stadium on Monday, April 30, between Giants Grave of the Neath League and Dafen of the Carmarthenshire League, kick-off 7 pm.

Adrian Wilson (49) lives in Sageston and is a Tenby-based taxi driver who has been refereeing for 21 years. Initially he officiated in Pembrokeshire and for the last 10 years he has been on duty in the Welsh League, as well as acting as a linesman in the Welsh Premier League.

It will not be the first time he has experienced the special atmosphere at the Liberty as he was a linesman for a West Wales Junior Cup final in the early days of the stadium.

Commenting on his appointment, he said: "I was delighted to hear the news, which not only is a great personal honour, but also an honour for the Pembrokeshire Association of Referees."
