Saundersfoot bowed out of the Harrison-Allen Bowl last week after being defeated in a high-scoring first round match at home to Haverfordwest.
Batting first, the Town piled up a formidable total of 189 for 2 in their allotted overs, thanks mainly to Simon Holliday, who was just short of a century on 96, and Ben Field, who weighed in with 73.
Great credit to Saundersfoot, though, as they made a good fist of their reply, with Sam Franklin top scoring with 45 and Nick Cope adding a usesful 25 as they fell just 24 runs short.
Elsewhere, other results in the first round were:
Llangwm 114 for 8 lost to Carew 143 for 9.
Lawrenny A-A Kilgetty 123 for 3.
Lamphey 145 for 5 beat Pembroke 144 for 4.
St. Ismaels C-C Crymych (St. Ishmaels go through as Crymych unable to raise a team).
Pembroke Dock 79 for 9 lost to Burton 82-0.
Laugharne C-C Llechryd ( Laugharne go through as Llechryd unable to raise a team).
Stackpole P-P Narberth.
