Since taking part in the RYA ThunderCat powerboat competition held at Saundersfoot's Coppet Hall earlier this summer, Pembrokeshire duo - Simon Harding, 38, from Neyland, and his co-pilot, Rylan Edwards, 25, from Goodwick, have been busy taking part in contests around the UK. "We have raced around the Isle of White in the Long Husk event," said Simon. "The race was 68 miles and we had the zapcat championship join us so there were 24 boats racing in all," he continued. "We managed to take second place. At Folkstone, we also to managed to get second on the first day and third on the Sunday which has put us in the running for a podium place for the championship." And they came third when they raced a surf event at Fistral Beach in Newquay, Cornwall, at the weekend. Added Simon: "We are looking forward to next season and racing in the world championships which are being held in Malta."
