HEATHERTON played their first Welsh Indoor Premier Bowls League fixture of the season against defending champions Cardiff on Saturday.
A feast of bowls was enjoyed with many Welsh internationals on show.
As expected the opposition turned up with a very strong squad and unfortunately Heatherton were unable to secure any points from the encounter.
Although playing well, Heatherton were well beaten by formidable opposition.
The new players in the home team settled in very well.
This coming Saturday the team travel to Blaenau Gwent and hope to register their first points.
he over 60s play their fist game of the season against Abertawe at home on Wednesday.
