The annual Bluestone Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon in Broad Haven saw some 350 competitors take on the challenge recently of a 1.5km sea swim, a 42km bike ride, finishing with a 10km run through the area's countryside.
The event held on July 27, which has been sponsored by Bluestone National Park Resort since 2020, drew in a large number of visitors and supporters.
Among the competitors was a team made up of Bluestone employees, who won the competitive relay category by just over two minutes, in the event organised by Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club.
The triathlon, which was founded in 1994, is one of the oldest in Wales and attracts a diverse field of athletes, including relay teams with different levels of experience and abilities.
Bethan Rees, Head of Marketing at Bluestone, said: “The triathlon not only provides great sporting entertainment but also boosts Pembrokeshire's profile by attracting participants and supporters from across the UK.
“Such events provide important economic and social value to the area, including health and wellbeing benefits. We’re pleased to have some of our colleagues competing as well and hope everyone had a great day, whether they were taking part, volunteering or spectating.”
David Astins, Race Director for Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club said the event is a great way to highlight the best of Pembrokeshire.
The Bluestone relay team, which comprised Travis Christopher-Mullin, Carys Ratcliffe, and James McNamara was also supported by colleagues who volunteered for the event.

The standard distance relay was won by the Bluestone team in a time of 02:39:48 followed closely by Broomhill Cottages team.
Congratulations to the first placed male, Iwan Frowley, who completed the race in a time of 02:08:35.
Further congratulations to the first placed female, Emma Palfrey, who finished in a time of 02:32:37.
