It is good to see you giving space to the RNIB campaign against pavement obstructions (Who put that there? Tenby Observer, 23 June).
Unfortunately, in Tenby commerce is king, and the traders’ message to the blind and disabled is clear: Tough luck.
This blatant disregard for basic human rights is scandalous, as is the spineless county council’s lack of enforcement. In my dreams, a council truck sweeps rounds Tenby removing all pavement clutter in one fell swoop.
It would cause outrage, of course, but would leave Tenby a far safer, kinder, place.
