Tenby coastguard and the town's inshore lifeboat was called to St. Catherine's Island at 7.50 pm on September 23, following a report that three people were stranded on the island having been cut off by the incoming tide. The group, from Pembroke Dock, were taken off the island by the lifeboat and deposited on the mainland where words of advice regarding the safety of the island were given by the coastguard.
