The final of the Young Musician of Dyfed competition 2007 will take place at Queen Elizabeth High School (Cambria Campus), Carmarthen, on Saturday, November 24, at 7.15 pm. Young people from all over the three counties will play instruments ranging from trumpet and flute to harp and marimba during an exciting day of competition. Music will include Mozart, traditional Welsh, music from the shows and TV. Young people from Tenby will compete with those from the rest of the three counties. Tenby has produced some strong candidates in the past, with the last two winners coming from Greenhill School. Go along and support them during the day heats or at 7.15 for the final event. Claire Jones, harpist to HRH the Prince of Wales, said: "Winning the Dyfed Young Musician of the Year inspired me to continue my musical studies and gave me a vital insight into the world of performing to a higher level."
