Nine musicians took part in a very high quality Young Musician Competition arranged by the Pembroke School Music Department and the Rotary Club of Pembroke. A varied programme was presented on a wide range of instruments and a vocal performance. The competitors put on a high quality evening of entertainment and they all performed extremely well. Kevin Shanklin went on to represent the club and school at the Zone Final at the Nantyffin Motel, Llandissilio, competing against competitors throughout West Wales.
