The final of the Junior Musician of the Year competition took place at Nantyffin Motel, Llandissilio, last Thursday.
Nine young musicians aged between seven and 11 years took part and delighted the audience with music of an astonishingly high standard.
The judges were Lyn Childs, Jan Hartsell and Tom Rawlins, who had the difficult decision in choosing the winner. But after much deliberation they chose saxophonist, Frances Scott, of Templeton School, as the winner.
Second was George Collins from Narberth CP School, who also played the saxophone, while third was Katie Macleod from the Steiner School, Nant y Cwm.
President of the Rotary Club of Narberth and Whitland, Keith Leighfield, presented the certificates and prizes, while the MC for the evening was Rotarian past president, Neil Jackson.
