YHA Manorbier is one of 61 Youth Hostels throughout England and Wales that will be throwing its doors open to the local community on Sunday, September 7, from 1 - 4 pm, to celebrate YHA Day 2014. YHA Day returns for the third year running, but this year it will be for an entire weekend. From September 6 - 7, YHA (England and Wales) are hosting a range of family-friendly activities. YHA Manorbier is inviting the local community to come and see the modern face of YHA, offering tours of the hostel giving visitors the chance to explore and discover all that it has to offer. Children visiting for YHA Day 2014 will get the chance to make kites and work on team challenges throughout the day. Refreshments will also be available. All the money raised from the event, and all others held on YHA Day 2014, will go towards YHA's Breaks for Kids fund, which helps pay for financially disadvantaged children to take part in school trips to Youth Hostels. Martin Allen, manager of YHA Manorbier, explained: "We are really looking forward to YHA Day returning for 2014. It's been great each year, giving us the perfect opportunity for us to show visitors and the local community all that we have to offer, above and beyond great value accommodation. YHA Day is also a thank you for our community's continued support."
