Young Farmers Club members from all over Pembrokeshire thronged the Agricultural Showground at Withybush, Haverfordwest, recently, for their 61st annual County Rally.
As the Federation president, Mrs. Gill Thorne, remarked, the current national concern for the health and lifestyle of young people highlights the relevance of the YFC movement.
"What other youth organisation offers such a wide range of activities throughout the year?"
"The teamwork and camaraderie - along with a little healthy competition - never fails to impress me," said county chairman, Karen Jones, warmly welcoming all members, relatives, friends and supporters - including the chairman of the county council, Clr. Mickey Folland - to the event.
After a day-long programme of activities - many of which result in members qualifying to compete at Wales and National level - the overall winners of the National Farmers Union challenge shield were Llysyfran club, with Clynderwen as runners-up.
Llysyfran also won the junior competitions shield and Eglwyswrw were winners of the senior section shield.
