Recently, Dyffryn Taf School, Whitland, held its annual Year 6 Day where pupils entering the school in September had the opportunity to spend the day at the school. The recently trained peer mentors had an important role to play in welcoming the new pupils and helping them to settle into their new environment. The Year 6 pupils had a busy day being assigned to their new forms and meeting their new classmates, teachers and mentors. They took part in different activities and games and were shown around the school campus. The peer mentors were on hand throughout the day to help and answer questions. All the mentors look forward to seeing their forms again in September and welcoming them back as they start their new adventure as Year 7 pupils at Dyffryn Taf.
