Cantabile is a ladies choir founded in September 2006. They sing a mixture of contemporary and classical music. Members come from all walks of life and from across Pembrokeshire, brought together by a common love of singing.

Musical director Sam Howley is a very active composer and musician based in Llangwm who took up the baton for the choir in 2013. Since then, he has helped us to develop an exciting and varied repertoire which they perform at venues throughout Pembrokeshire and beyond.

They rehearse weekly, on Wednesday evenings, 7.30-9.30 pm, in Albany Church Hall, Hill Street, Haverfordwest (near the community centre) - they can be booked for concerts and ‘flashmob’ weddings etc.

Membership is open to any female who enjoys singing The ability to read music is desirable, but not essential as all members are trained in the same way.

Rosalind said: “We will be particularly interested in seeing you on June 7 when we are bringing friends to a typical rehearsal - so there should be quite a few new people for you to meet and socialise with.

“We are hoping to see lots of new people at our open event and have invited the Patients Choir - these are local cancer patients and they are going to sing at an event at Carew Castle on June 24 and we are singing to support them on that day.

“I can promise you an entertaining evening with tea and cakes!”
