Can anybody tell me what is being done about the Japanese Knotweed which is popping up all over the area?
I frequently drive round Swansea and I am horrified by what I see.
There are now great swathes of the city covered in the weed and it is awful. Carmarthen is succumbing to the same fate.
The council in Swansea has tried in a few places to exterminate it, but it keeps coming back. I worry that the same thing will happen here. The more we allow it to spread, the more expensive it will be to eradicate. The weed does not discriminate between wasteland and gardens!
I hope that our local councils will take steps soon to eradicate it in our area before we are overrun.
