A huge variety of book characters were on display in Templeton School as part of their celebrations of World Book Day.

These included: Burt from Ratburger by David Walliams, Tanith Williams from The Magic Apostrophe and Mrs. Twit from Roald Dahl's Twits to name just a few.

All the children made a huge effort to dress up and celebrate the diversity of the reading material available to them in book form and e-readers.

The children read stories to each other throughout the day and really enjoyed being in costume.

The disco organised by the PTA in the evening also had a World Book Day theme.
