Staff working in Pembrokeshire's care sector got together recently to highlight social care in the county.

Thirty-seven representatives from across the public and private sector attended a conference at the E-Commerce Centre in Pembroke Dock.

Organised by the Pembrokeshire Social Care Development Partnership (SCWDP) the event highlighted the need for the care sector to work together to raise its profile - as well as tackle workforce training and development, recruitment and retention challenges.

Key speakers included Jon Skone, Pembrokeshire County Council's director of social care and housing, who gave a presentation on working together, while Chris Osborne, proprietor of the Fourcroft Hotel in Tenby, compared the approaches of social care and tourism in addressing workforce challenges.
