A team of young people from The Princes Trust recently gave a generous donation of a bird table and bird boxes to St. Mary's School in Bufferland, Pembroke Dock. The schoolchildren have been creating a wildlife garden with the help of volunteer, Barry Potter, and the table and nest boxes will not only benefit the birds, but will provide pupils with the opportunity to study them more closely.
The Princes Trust Team made the bird table and boxes while volunteering with Pembroke 21C Community Association in October. Barry, who also volunteers as a Millpond Warden with Pembroke 21C, said: "The donation will attract more birds to the garden and the children will enjoy watching them for hours."
Mrs. Nicholas, head of St. Mary's School, also added: "The children and staff are delighted that the young people have given our wildlife garden this wonderful boost."
