Sir,
The following is in respect of the superb care and ministrations that my late wife, Hilary Anne Stephanie Harvey, received. As is widely known, Hilary put up a valiant resistance to cancer for five years, but she was fortunate to have been in receipt of much wonderful assistance and encouragement from the following agencies:
Macmillan Nurses, who co-ordinated the support, the District Nurses based in Narberth, who administered the medical requirements at home, Shalom House, who provided such caring palliative care, Narberth Surgery, both doctors and staff who ensured that medications were always available on time, the Paul Sartori Foundation, who provided all the necessary equipment in the home, Kilgetty Pharmacy, who were so supportive and sympathetic, Pembrokeshire Cancer Support, who gave encouragement and the quietitude that was so restful, Care in Hand, whose staff were so willing to care for Hilary's personal well-being and Rev. Sarah Geach, of St. Mary's, Begelly, who provided for Hilary's spiritual needs.
I thank all the above, along with the family and friends who never wavered in their support and love for Hilary.
You may not, as I did not, be aware of what support is available to people who are in need of home palliative care. They all combined to look after Hilary's needs.
I extend to you all my heartfelt thanks, may God bless you all as He has blessed Hilary.
Len Harvey.
Begelly,
