At last Thursday's club night, members of Tenby and District Camera Club were entertained with images taken by Mr. Allen Lloyd, ARPS, AWPF, who travelled down to Pembrokeshire from Caldicott.
Allen gave an introduction to his talk and pictures explaining that he first visited 'Yellowstone' in 2006 and had been back to witness the changes in the winter and autumn seasons on two further occasions.
For the landscape and wildlife photographer, this is one place to go he stated. The images illustrated the vastness and beauty of this National Park in America nestled quietly over looked by the Rocky mountains. The landscape images showed the waterfalls, the Maddison and Oxbow Bend rivers, the geysers and of course 'Old Faithful'. The wild life images were outstanding showing elk, moose, snow shoe hare, bob cat, black bear, bald eagle and the American red fox to name just a few.
Following a coffee break, Allen showed further images of trips to Borneo and the Falkland Islands, with images of monkey's and penguins and also his take on Wales called 'Simply Welsh'.
The chairman thanked Allen for his wonderful and instructive presentation and reminded club members that money and menu selection for the club awards/presentation dinner on May 12 at the Giltar Hotel, Tenby, was now required.
