You saw them first at the Pembroke Festival. Now Wonderbrass are Back for 2013 in Foundry House on Pembroke Commons on Saturday, July 27.

This 25-strong explosion of sound from Cardiff will bring a mix of New Orleans jazz, ska, funk and fun. Wonderbrass are not like other bands. The musicians don't get paid and the performance fees are used to fund tuition costs and projects so that members are able to perform with and learn from top musicians.

So they play for the love of it, guaranteeing a passionate and professional performance every time. Expect an intoxicating mix of musical styles played on an eclectic mix of instruments guaranteed to lift your spirits and your knees.

Supporting Wonderbrass on the same evening are Beneath the Reef, a home grown six-piece ska/punk band from Pembrokeshire. Formed in 2011, they have played with well-known bands in venues from Carmarthen to London. They have now been signed by independent record label, Habitformed Records, who have big plans for a debut album in October, to be followed by a UK tour. So catch them in Pembroke before they go!

From 7 pm food and drink from a licensed bar and a barbecue will keep you going while you bop.

Tickets are £10, either online from http://www.foundryhouse.ticketsource.co.uk">www.foundryhouse.ticketsource.co.uk or call in to Foundry House or phone 01646 680090 to pay direct. Tickets will also be on sale at the regular Pembroke Farmers Markets held fortnightly on Saturday mornings in Pembroke Town Hall.

Proceeds from the event will go to Pembroke 21C Community Association, a local charity managing Foundry House as Pembroke's Community Centre.
