The annual service for the Women's World Day of Prayer, Saundersfoot, Kilgetty and District was held in St. Issell's Church, Saundersfoot. Paraguayan harp music welcomed 50 local women to join in prayer with women throughout the world. The service this year had been prepared by the women of Paraguay, entitled 'God's Tent.' Yvonne Webley thanked Canon Michael Butler and members of St. Issell's for hosting the service and Mr. Mick Gulliford for playing the organ. Yvonne then welcomed Mrs. Jenny Gough, the speaker, who gave a very inspiring address on the theme God's Tent'. She then introduced Mrs. Christine Hesslegrave as the service leader. A representative from each of the churches and chapels took part with the readings and prayers. Canon Butler ended the service with the Blessing. After the service, the ladies of St. Issell's served tea in the schoolroom.
