Local rescue teams were called into action on Monday following reports that two people had fallen down rocks at the waterfall near Waterwynch. Tenby's inshore lifeboat was launched and the coastguard despatched to the incident at 7.25 am. Several people had been at the scene, known locally as Piss Rock, and are believed to have been drinking alcohol. Most of the party had made their way to sea level via a pathway, but two 21-year-old women from Buckinghamshire had scrambled along the rocks and fallen some 50 to 80 feet. One woman, although injured, managed to get herself back up the cliffs to her tent, but the other woman had leg injuries and couldn't move. The coastguard teams, including a paramedic, attended her injuries. She was placed on a spinal board and taken by the ILB to an awaiting ambulance at Tenby Harbour. She was then conveyed to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest for treatment. It appears the women, a little the worse for drink, were trying to find a short cut to the beach.

Tenby ILB brings ashore one of the injured women.
