A woman who assaulted another female whilst on her way into Pembroke Dock town, has been given a conditional discharge by Haverfordwest magistrates.
Forty-year-old Dezrean Samantha Howard-Taylor, of Water Street, pleaded guilty to assaulting Gaynor Burgess on June 1, when she appeared before the magistrates court on Tuesday.
The court heard that the victim had been on her way into town at 9 am and had seen Miss Howard-Taylor walking towards her shouting and accusing her of stealing money from her father, before the defendant hit her twice on the left side of her face.
The incident was reported to the police and when interviewed, Miss Howard-Taylor fully admitted the assault.
Magistrates gave the defendant a 12-month conditional discharge and she was ordered to pay £70 compensation to the victim and court costs of £85.
