The Co-operative in Kilgetty is giving shoppers the chance to win a trolley dash just in time for Christmas, while raising money for its charity of the year, Tros Gynnal. The Supermarket Sweep-style trolley dash will take place in December and give one lucky shopper the chance to race around the store and collect as many items (exclusions apply) as possible in 60 seconds. To be in with a chance of winning, customers simply have to buy a raffle ticket costing £1, the proceeds of which will go to children's charity Tros Gynnal. Co-operative store manager Chris Perkins said: "The aim behind the trolley dash is to raise as much money as possible for Tros Gynnal to help make a real difference to vulnerable children in Wales. "We hope to raise £1,000 and tickets are now on sale. It's a great prize and we hope our customers dig deep and buy lots of tickets." The draw announcing the winner will take place on Monday, December 10. The Co-operative Group is aiming to raise over £1 million by the end of the year for The Children's Society and partner charities including Tros Gynnal. Money collected at local branches will directly benefit vulnerable children in Wales.
