Saundersfoot’s Wilson Mills-McBeth headed to the Welsh capital ahead of the weekend to continue his quest to raise awareness of Down Syndrome.

For the start of Down Syndrome awareness month, five-year-old Wilson who currently attends Ysgol Hafan Y Môr in Tenby visited Cardiff on Friday (October 1) after organising something spectacular for the campaign!

“We contacted Cardiff castle and asked if they would help Wilson with his latest mission to light up the landmark!” explained his mum Sara.

“The colours that represent Down’s syndrome are yellow and blue; and by lighting the castle on a busy Friday night in the city centre, it certainly got people talking!

“It was an amazing opportunity to spread some awareness.

‘Thanks goes to the events team at the castle and the Follow Your Dreams charity for supporting him,” she added.

Wilson who is also an ambassador for the charity Follow Your Dreams, raises awareness and tries his best to change people’s perceptions and help end discrimination through his various social media pages ‘Wilson pretty fly for a small guy’.
