Temporary width restrictions have been put in place on the Cleddau Bridge while work to erect a canopy over the new toll booths takes place. Since Monday, there has been a temporary width restriction of 2.9m on the bridge. Vehicles greater than this width are advised to contact the Police and/or make alternative arrangements for crossing the river. Motorists wishing to purchase books of bridge tickets while the works are carried out are requested to use the toll office car park, behind the toll office, as the laybys in the toll plaza area will be closed for safety. The canopy work is the final phase of a multi- million pound enhancement programme for the Cleddau Bridge. Work is expected to be completed by the end of the month. The canopy will provide a better environment - and protection from the weather - for toll collectors and bridge users.
