The Pembrokeshire Federation of Women's Institutes attended the Radio Wales show 'Look Up Your Genes' at Tenby's De Valence Pavilion last Saturday.
Members had on display items relating to the war, such as kitchen utensils, books, records, identity cards, ration books, and a Land Army uniform owned by Mrs. W. Evans, of Rhos WI, who gave a talk on her life in the Land Army, as did Mrs. C. George, of Carew WI.
Food rations for a week were on display, along with wartime recipes of carrot cookies, carrot jam, raisin cake, fruity potato cake and honeycomb toffee, which anyone could sample.
The event was opened by Mr. Ray Gravell, former Welsh rugby international and now TV and radio personality.
