Sir,
I note that Tenby Neighbourhood Policing Team is warning cyclists they face a £30 fine if they cycle on pavements.
As a very worried pedestrian, I would like to know who will have right of way on the Marsh Road pavement now that it has been revamped as a cycle track.
As this is a busy thoroughfare used by the elderly and mothers with young children and baby buggies, I am very apprehensive as to how it will cope with cyclists when the school term begins.
There have already been a couple of near collisions between pedestrians and cyclists on this stretch. In the North of England there have been two fatalities.
I hope some guidelines will be given before, rather than after, any accidents.
Barbara Stredder,
Marsh Road,
Tenby.
