Whitland will be a ghost town tomorrow (Saturday) as there will be a mass exodus of rugby fans to watch the Whitland Youth team take on a strong Bridgend Athletic side at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, in the final of the Webb Ellis Welsh Youth Cup.

Unbeaten to date this season, if Whitland win, they will become only the second Whitland team to win the Welsh Youth Cup, as Whitland beat Cardiff at Ammanford in March 1983 by a narrow 10-9 scoreline in the final.

The Whitland supporters on Saturday will include many of the 1983 heroes and the club's two senior sides, as the first and second team league fixtures against Bonymaen have been postponed to Saturday, May 2.

A picture of the 2009 squad is shown, together with a picture of the 1983 squad.
