Dyffryn Taf students were given the opportunity to take part in a 'Rock Workshop' after school on Monday.
The session was set up in partnership with Menter Taf Myrddin and allowed the students to jam with and learn from experienced musicians -Nia Medi (vocals), Rhys James (guitar), both from the band 'Johnny Panic', and Gruffudd Ifan (drums) from 'Texas Radio Band'.
During the evening, the students worked with the musicians in small groups and came together at the end to perform their own original song.
This initial session was very successful and it is hoped that further sessions of this kind can be put on at the school in the future.
