BONYMAEN 46

WHITLAND 22

Whitland again failed to gain their first victory in National League division one going down by 46 points to 22.

Whitland opened the scoring through outside half Daniel Griffiths.

Bonymaen scored their first try through stand-off Gareth Jones with full back Jason Davies adding the two points

Davies failed with a penalty in the 14th minute while Griffiths was equally unsuccessful at the other end three minutes later.

Bonymaen knocked on from the drop out and from the resulting scrum Number 8 Ricky Davies picked up and bulldozed his way to the line but was brought down short.

However, Bonymaen gave away a penalty which second row Fakataha Molitika took quickly and charged over from short range to score Whitland's opening try.

Griffiths added the conversion but Bonymaen drew level when Gareth Jones dropped a goal.

Jason Davies kicked a penalty in the 32 minute before racing over just three minutes later for a try. He also converted to give a half time score of 20-10 to Bonymaen.

Bonymaen scored two early tries after the break, the first just three minutes in by wing Lee Johnston and the second in the 7th minute by Jonathan Young.

Davies landed one conversion.

Whitland hit back with a well worked try by full back Gavin Morris, but, not long after centre Sengili Tuihalamaka was sinbinned, Bonymaen ran in the two further tries through replacement centre Simon Davies (ex-Swansea).

Davies added the two conversions to put Bonymaen firmly in the driving seat.

Last word went to Whitland however when replacement centre Steve Butcher ran in under the posts after good work by Steve Gerrard (Whitland's most outstanding player on the field), Mike Buckingham and Daniel Griffiths.

Griffiths added the extras to leave the final score 46-22.
